iPhone Application Development For Windows.

Since Apple has restricted iPhone App development to Mac Only, Windows Developers have no way to show their talent. The Reason for the Development restriction on Windows is simply because creating a Windows Based SDK is too much work for Apple. Apple is based primarily on Objective C while Windows uses C Plus Plus. To Convert all the Source Code is a Daunting Task. It is much simpler for Apple to tell Windows Users to buy a Mac.
However Windows Developers haven't given up. WinChain is a project launched to allow Windows Users to Create iPhone Apps. But requires Objective C Knowledge. Which in most cases is relatively new to a Windows User.
What if we could use native C Plus Plus to create iPhone Apps? Guess what? You Can! DragonFireSDK is a new Windows Based iPhone Development Kit. DragonFireSDK's C++ layer calls Objective-C functions for high speed efficiency. It is very easy to create 2D games!
DragonFireSDK is still in Beta Testing. So you can get a free Beta Copy at the Website.
When the Kit is Officially Launched it is due to cost $49.95. This is A great Opportunity. They will only take limited Beta Testers.

Run Sega Genesis Games On iPod Touch.

The Sega Genesis was one of my first consoles. But its been ages. So I found a emulator to allow Genesis Games to run on a iPod Touch or iPhone. One thing is for sure, you can run these games without any lag, max performance. All the games known as ROM's are free and legal.
So here's how you do it. Enter Cydia. Search and Download "Genesis4iPhone". After Installation, reboot.

Now you need to get the Games. Go to Cydia and Add the following Source.

http://iromrepo.com/Cydia/genesis

Note that the Cydia has a Capital "C". Must be Capital or it won't work!

Now under sections, there should be a new area with "iRom GENESIS". Download and install any game you like. When you install a game it will appear in the "Genesis4iPhone" Application.

This is just my first tutorial on emulators. There is still more to come on Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Color and Super Nintendo. If you have any problem, shoot a comment!

Let's Face it. Your iPod Touch may not always have a internet connection every where you go unlike the iPhone. So why don't you download your favorite YouTube videos directly on your device. This works on both iPhone and iPod Touch.

It's an Application call MxTube. Similar to the Original YouTube App except that this App has a Built-in Downloader. You Can Stream videos directly and if you like Download it.

This App is available through Cydia. Tap the Search tab and look for "MxTube" Once you find it, Download and install. Open the MxTube App and Download your favorite videos. Simple interface yet a very powerful App.

I came across many tutorials on video sharing websites showing iPod Touch and iPhone users how to set-up and VNC viewer and Server which would allow them view their iPhone's screen via their PC screen and also control it. But these videos never went true the process. So I'll cover them today.

Things you will need:

1. A jailbroken iPod Touch or iPhone.

2. A PC with Wi-Fi Connectivity.

3. A Wi-Fi Network.

4.Tight VNC for PC ( I'll show you how to get it ).

5.VEENCY

Once You Have all the components you can move on .

Let's Start with the iPhone or iPod Touch. First Connect to your Wi-Fi Network and tap on Cydia, Now Head to the search tab and look for VEENCY . Once you've found it, confirm and install. That's all the configuration for your device, head over to your PC and connect to the same wifi Network as your device. What you want to do now is go to tightvnc.com and download their self-installer Package . You don't need to change anything during installation, just press next all the way through. Once completely thorough the installation, open Tight VNC Viewer and a pop-up box will open asking for a VNC Server. Don't be worried, its really asking for the ip address of your iPod Touch/iPhone. Your device's ip address can be found in settings>WiFi>Network Connected to >. You see the ip address here. Insert this into the field on your pc.

You'll get a notice on your device's screen with a reject or accept option. Accept the connection and congradulations you have successfully made a VNC connection between your PC and iPhone. If you have any problems, leave a comment. Thanks your Your Time.

Flash Player For iPod Touch

The iPhone featured some of the greatest ideas ever imagined for a phone, but yet somehow they missed a critical component- A simple Flash Player! The iPhone literally has no competition with Google Android and other new phones because Apple, for some reason doesn't want to add a flash player. In the same way, the iPod Touch is limited.

The iPhone and iPod Touch user is restricted to the YouTube app in terms of flash. Websites based on flash cannot be viewed via Safari. Apple has made a move to produce flash Apps but that is pointless unless integrated with Safari. Adobe is in the making of a iPhone version Flash Player but Apple controls when and where this will be released. However Apple can't prevent jailbreakers from accessing a flash player on there iPhone. I have installed a flash player built in to Safari, it works great! I have tested non-YouTube videos like Google Video.

If you want a Flash Player, you can follow the steps to get your own up and running!

To Install a Flash Player, You Will Need:

  1. A jailBroken iPhone/iPod Touch (Cydia Installed)

  2. A Internet Connection for Device (Wi-Fi or 3G)

Enter your Cydia Application. Tap on Manage > Sources > Edit > Add.

When Prompted Enter The Following Address
http://d.imobilecinema.com/

Download the 3 packages that are available from the Source.
  • iMobileCinema
  • iMobileCinema BPControl
  • iMobileCinema SBControl

After you have installed all 3 packages, Reboot your Device. A new BossPrefs Application should be on your screen. Enter The App and make sure iMobileCinema is set to "On". Your Flas Player will now be working. You can test it out by watch a none YouTube Video.
